๐ง The author's perspective
The author believes that the dayโs movement toward persistent, connected agents supports the view that software development and company operations can become increasingly autonomous when agents have a capable runtime, durable instructions, integrations, data, and appropriate authority. Isolated execution environments, approval-gated consequential actions, connected business context, and conversational data systems align with a harness that can run planning, implementation, testing, review, and deployment loops rather than isolated chat tasks. The emphasis on task-specific evaluation, auditability, credential boundaries, and explicit escalation paths also aligns with high-reward autonomy governed by reusable operating knowledge and real-world feedback.
